- Satish Kumar – in 2016, at the age of 80, Satish went on a 50 mile Peace Walk to Oxford for a 3 day event celebrating the 50thAnniversary of the Resurgence magazine. He was its editor for 43 years. In the 1960’s he went on a 8,000 mile peace walk from India to the USA.
- Gerard Hughes – “Walk to Jerusalem, In Search of Peace” raising funds for Pax Christi. 1987. This followed a walk from England to Rome.
- Bruce Kent – In 1988 Bruce walked a 1000 mile peace walk from Warsaw to NATO HQ in Brussels to call for a united nuclear-free Europe.
- Johanna van Fessem – “Walking in the Light” – an account of a foot pilgrimage from the Hague to Jerusalem, praying for the peace of Jerusalem.
- Lord Michael Bates – www.walkforpeace.eu – Michael has walked a number of peace walks in Europe and China to support different causes. His latest walk was to raise awareness for the Olympic Truce. He walked 1,880 miles from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro for the opening of the Olympics. https://www.walkforpeace.world
- Toyoshige Sekiguchi – Toyoshige is a Japanese Buddhist Monk, and since 2009 has been walking to all the G Summit meetings, prays for nuclear disarmament and helps to promote the idea of Mayors of Peace.
- Mony Dojeiji, Alberto Agraso – “Walking for Peace, an Inner Journey”. 2001
- Brandon Wilson – “Along the Templar Trail: Seven Million Steps For Peace”. In 2006, Brandon and a friend re-blazed the 2600-mile route of the First Crusades from France to Jerusalem on an 11-country walk for peace, naming it the Templar Trail.
- Lucas de Groot – 2014. Lucas walked 2,000 miles across the UK protesting against nuclear weapons.
- Paul Haines – 2014/2015. From London to Rome, then Rome to Jerusalem.
